New Remote. It Desktop and Redesigned Web Portal Release v.3.7

Check out the latest release (v3.7) of Remote. It Desktop and web portal.  This release is one of the biggest steps forward in advanced features and web UI/UX improvements that we’ve ever done.  Now you can truly manage your endpoints and team members' access with full control.  With this version we are also launching a new subscription plan called “Business” meant to deliver even more value from Remote. It in commercial applications.

The re-designed web portal brings updated navigation and additional features to your device list like advanced sorting, filtering, search, and custom column selection that matches the desktop application. There is even dark mode support. Don't worry you will still be able to get to the original web portal for features that are yet to be supported such as scripting. Coming soon!

Remote. It Version 3.7.0 Tags, new UI

With this release (v.3.7) the Remote. It web portal interface now matches the Remote. It desktop.  The web portal and desktop interface is shown above displaying columns related to new features in this release: Tags, User Permissions, and Roles.

Organizations:

If you haven’t yet tried Remote. It Organizations then now’s the time to check it out.  Organizations was originally launched in version v3.6.0. Now with today’s release you have even more advanced tools to manage different user roles, permissions, and corresponding endpoint visibility across your entire team.  Organizations is the proven and recommended way to set up and manage a team of Remote. It users who need to access a group endpoints.

Remote. It Organizations still supports all these great features:

  • Create an Organization in your account and add team members to your Organization
  • Quickly grant privileges to the Organization members globally across all your endpoints
  • Account owners have full control to consolidate and manage billing, subscriptions, and licensing across all users in their Organization

Subscribing to the new Remote. It Business Plan will unlock these additional features:

  • Assign Roles to every user in your Organization to define their permissions
  • Pre-defined Roles include Owner, Manager, and Member
  • Define your own custom Roles and assign them to your Organization members
  • Grant/revoke permissions based on the assigned Roles for actions like View, Connect, Script, Device Management, and Account Administrator across all your endpoints
  • Even tag devices to limit access to just those devices, for example your AWS cloud resources can be restricted to limited users in your organization

Remote. It Version 3.7.0 New Business Plan

Define a Custom Role, Tag it, and Assign to any Organization Member

Starting with this release,  Business Plan subscriptions allow creation of custom Roles with custom permissions.  You can also create a Tag and use it to Tag the endpoints that the custom Role is allowed to view and interact with according to the Role permissions.  Learn more about Tags in the next section.

Tags:

Remote. It Tags is a powerful new feature giving you the ability to define groups of endpoints, based on any criteria you like, by tagging them with a custom label.  For example, you may decide to tag your devices based on their physical location, platform type, and software version using three descriptive Tags.  You can use Tags to create any custom schema you want to organize and easily identify your endpoints.  Tagging is included in all the Remote. It subscription plans Personal, Professional, Business, and Enterprise.

With Tagging you can:

  • Define as many custom Tags as you need and assign them among the endpoints in your account
  • Use Tags to sort, filter, or group the endpoints in your Device List for easy visibility, identification, and display
  • Create and assign multiple tags to your endpoints to define your own custom grouping structures.

SAML Integration:
The Remote. It Business  and Enterprise Plans offers an optional custom integration of SAML-compatible authentication for the Remote. It accounts under a single email domain.  Subscribers have the option to request SAML activation through the Organization Settings page in the Remote. It Desktop or web portal.  With SAML authentication Remote. It users with accounts using the same email domain can use their company sign-in credentials when signing into Remote. It
